3. Data collection on our website

Cookies

Our website does not use cookies.

Provision of the website and creation of server log files

Even without the use of cookies, our web server or hosting provider automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing device each time the website is accessed. The following data is collected and stored in so-called log files:

  • Browser type and version used
  • User's operating system
  • User's IP address (deleted or anonymised after 7 days at the latest)
  • Date and time of access
  • Website from which you are visiting us (referrer URL)
  • Page or file accessed

The temporary storage of this data is strictly necessary for the technical provision, IT security (e.g. to defend against hacker attacks) and stability of the website.

Legal basis: Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Our legitimate interest lies in the error-free, stable and secure operation of this TYPO3 website.

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of data collected to provide the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended. Data stored in log files is automatically deleted or anonymised after 7 days at the latest. Storage beyond this period is possible; in this case, however, users' IP addresses are deleted or altered so that it is no longer possible to identify the accessing client.

Website support and hosting

1. External outsourcing (agency & web hosting)

The creation, technical maintenance and provision of our website are carried out by an external service provider.

  • Web design & support: We work with the internet agency e-presentation (Carsten Eichentopf, Richard-Dehmel-Str. 31a, 22926 Ahrensburg, Germany).
  • Infrastructure (hosting): To provide the website, e-presentation uses a rented managed server from ScaleUp Technologies GmbH & Co. KG, Süderstraße 198, 20537 Hamburg, Germany (hereinafter "ScaleUp"). The data of website visitors is therefore processed on ScaleUp's servers within the European Union or the European Economic Area.

2. Purpose & legal basis

The engagement of the agency and the use of the dedicated managed server are based on our legitimate interest in the technically secure, stable and efficient provision and professional maintenance of our online offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Data processing & contracts

To ensure the comprehensive protection of your personal data, the data protection agreements required by law have been concluded:

  • We have concluded a data processing agreement with e-presentation pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
  • e-presentation contractually ensures that ScaleUp, as a sub-processor, also complies with the strict European data protection standards and only processes data in accordance with data protection requirements.

4. Data recipients

The data collected in the course of operating the website (in particular server log files such as IP addresses and date/time of access) is processed by e-presentation on ScaleUp's servers.

Data is not passed on to any other unauthorised third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. disclosure to law enforcement authorities in the event of a cyber attack in order to investigate criminal offences).

Enquiries by email, telephone or fax

If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your enquiry including all resulting personal data (e.g. name, contact details, content of the enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass this data on to third parties without your consent, unless required by law or for the performance of a contract.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective and prompt handling of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The data you send us via contact requests remains with us until the purpose for storing it no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been dealt with) or you ask us to delete it. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods under tax and commercial law – remain unaffected.

Data transfer upon conclusion of a contract

We only transfer personal data to third parties if this is necessary in the context of processing the contract, for example to the bank commissioned with processing payments.

No further transfer of data takes place, or only if you have expressly consented to the transfer. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent, for example for advertising purposes.

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
